Spore could move into late 2008: analyst

By Patrick Garratt

All we’re going to say is, “No shit, Sherlock.” Janco analyst Mike Hickey reckons Spore is likely to be moved into the back half of the year, and that general product delays could be to blame for sluggish stock performance. See here.

“Additional share pressure could be coming from potential high profile product delays including Spore,” said Hickey, “which we now expect in [the second half of 2008], versus management guidance for March/April.”

Despite hiccups, though, Hickey stays positive on the publisher’s future, expecting “legacy franchises to sell well”. So FIFA will do well next year? How much do you earn, Mike?
