Square Enix boss Wada wants “Japan Alliance”

By Mike

According to this Nikkei business report, Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada has said that in order to remain competitive with the Western market, a “Japan Alliance” must be assembled. This would see medium to small-sized companies realign and work together as a unit, apparently.

“[W]e should consider some sort of ‘Japan Alliance’,” said Wada. “Individuality is important. It’s not forcing everything into a single corporate brand. The ideal is a holding company under which several companies and brands can hang.”
