Speaking to investors after issuing a Q4 sales warning last night, EA CEO John Riccitiello confirmed that more new IP would be released by the company next year, despite lack-lustre sales from games like Mirror’s Edge and Dead Space this holiday.
“We will be launching several new titles and online games in fiscal 2010,” said the exec.
He added: “While we are cutting costs, we remain committed to investing in great game quality, in new properties, and in our direct-to-consumer initiatives.”
EA said it’s too trim back its portfolio in the coming year, but remains committed to new IP such as Mirror’s Edge.
Thanks, 1UP.
