Sunday megaton: Cooking Mama 2: World Kitchen is now available for Wii.

The sequel features 3D characters, added modes and loads of new recipes. So, instead of actually cooking real food in the kitchen and slicing and dicing your meats and veggies, you can simulate the whole thing in you very own living room — all without the repercussions of food poisoning or a trip to the ER.

Press release after the jump.

505 Games is proud to announce that Cooking Mama 2: World Kitchen will be available in stores from today for Nintendo Wii.

The sequel to the celebrated cooking title is back for a second helping, with all new 3D characters, added modes and of course, a host of mouth-watering new recipes. Players use the motion-sensitive Wii Remote to cook a variety of recipes by simulating the actions of a real-life chef. Whether you’re making parfait or shrimp au gratin, expect plenty of chopping, grating, slicing and frying. But don’t worry if you make a mistake because Mama’s there to help in brand new mini-games that see players using the Wii Remote in different action-packed ways, like dashing from side to side catching burgers in Mama’s apron.
