Update: BioWare has tweeted that more details on the DLC will be revealed next week and will not be “charging extra for any new Mass Effect 2 content” on launch day. Huzzah!
Original: Norwegian newspaper DagBladet has reported that DLC for Mass Effect 2 will be released day one or very soon after.
According to the article (via Joystiq), the DLC includes armor, weapons, an unlockable planet and a bounty hunter ally by the name of Zaeed Messani – which you see pictured above.
DagBladet also says that the DLC will be made available via an in-games store, like Dragon Age: Origins.
You can read the translated version of the post through here, but be warned that it contains spoilers.
The fact that DLC for Mass Effect 2 will be made available hasn’t been a secret. BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk said back in November that the DLC for it would “kick ass”.
It also shouldn’t take as long to get, as Casey Hudson revealed during the same month, that the team will switch to creating extra content the day the game’s released.
Good thing.
Game’s out this month.
