According to Nintendo, Wii has sold four million units in France since its launch back in 2006.

The news come from Gamekyo (via GoNintendo).

Last week, it was confirmed by the company that over 20 million units of the console were sold in Europe since launch, with sales of the recently released New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Sports Resort coming in at 2.5 million units and 5 million units respectively in the continent.

They also claimed over three million Wiis were sold in the US over December alone. The numbers should become clear for the US this Thursday, when the NPD for January releases.

And just last week, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said in an interview the console had “recovered from slowdown.”
