World of Warcraft’s Chinese boss has resigned his post.
Project chief Li Riqiang stood down from his position just as stability was coming back to the MMO in China, but no reason was given for his departure.
According to research firm JLM Pacific Epoch, a replacement for Riqiang hasn’t been found as of yet.
Recently, after landing in hot water over illegally running the MMO in the country as well as suspending sign-ups for it, operator NetEase finally managed to get the expansion The Burning Crusade passed through GAPP.
It’s currently waiting on approval for the game’s last expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.
Thanks, GI.
