Despite being mentioned on FFXIII’s US box-art, DLC makes no appearance on the game’s European cover.
In fact, as spotted by UFFS, the only online compatibility mentioned for the RPG is “achievements” and “friends” on Xbox Live.
We honestly don’t know what to believe any more.
Back in January, art director Isamu Kamikokuryou confirmed there was so much stuff from the game left out, a second title could have been made from it.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase has also been reversing back and forth like a yo-yo on the subject.
In an interview with the Ulitma Guide for the game, he said there ain’t going to be DLC, although it’s possible, before saying there will be new content in an interview published by OPM Benelux.
And only on Saturday, the US 360 cover all but confirmed there would be DLC.
Outstanding.
We’ve emailed Square for clarification.
FFXIII launches a month tomorrow, March 9, for PS3 and 360.
