Valve changes its mind, is now “looking into” PS3 development

If we didn’t know any better, we’d say Valve wasn’t the PS3’s biggest fan.

Turns out, though, that the mega-developer wouldn’t give Sony’s monolithic box the time of day because it was too busy taking its time in an attempt to do PS3 development “the right way.”

“Before we do anything on the PS3 we need to be able to support it in the right way,” Valve’s Chet Faliszek told Edge. “But we’ll look at it, and I’m sure down the road we’ll do it.”

As for when we’ll see the fruits of Valve’s PS3 labors, we have no idea. Based on the incredible sense of urgency we felt emanating from Faliszek’s statement, though, we’d say that the year 2047 is a reasonable estimate.
