Netflix has started sending out out discs this week to Wii users, so that they can enjoy streaming movies along with 360 and PS3 owners.
Announced earlier this year, the service is free from Nintendo, meaning no fees for the convenience, but you’ll still have to have a Netflix subscription to watch anything – just in case there was confusion for some reason.
Xbox 360 users first got the service in late 2008, and Sony followed suit last fall.
Analysts are unsure how much of a boon the service will be to Wii users, as it has been estimated by Michael Pachter that less than 20 percent of Wii consoles are connected to the Internet, compared to 75 percent of Xbox 360s and 80 percent of PS3s.
Still, at least they have the option now.
Thanks, GameSpot.
