Sony’s registered “PlayStation Move” in Europe, while sources tell us that “Arc” has been fully ditched as a potential name for PS3’s Motion Controller.

The filing for the name, found by The Netwerk (via Joystiq), was made in Europe on March 9, 2010. That’s yesterday, kids.

Also made in the same filing is a possible logo, which looks a bit like an A.

We were told dy a developer source today that Arc was “the name” for the PS3 Motion Controller but has since been dumped thanks to trademark issues.

Hopefully we’ll find out later tonight at Sony’s GDC press conference, due to kick off five hours from now.

Steph’s going to be there for us: find details here.
