Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart has said that before the game was canceled, for all intents and purposes, the Aliens RPG it was working on looked like “a finished game”.

Speaking with Joystiq during an event last week, Urquhart also revealed some of the game’s content.

“Oh, if you had come in and played any of the last builds we were working on, you would have said it was a finished game,” said Urquhart.

“That’s how close we were. It looked and felt like it was ready to ship.”

He then went on to say that you would have played as Colonial Marines in the game and missions involved tasks such as protecting the robot sentry guns axed from Aliens, “multiple types of Marines” and lots of fun gadgetry.

Urquhart also mentioned the developmental challenge of making a “15-foot long Alien turn around at the end of a hallway”.

Stuff of nightmares, there. Maybe more will be revealed on the canned RPG when the non-disclosure agreement is up on 2011.

Unfortunately, the game was , canceled back in June of last year, but there’s always Fallout: New Vegas to look forward to from Obsidian, and Alpha Protocol as well.
