What's all the Fuss about the Tea Party?

Tea Party this and Tea Party that! What does it all mean?

Laura does her homework and finds out what the Tea Party is all about.

I keep hearing about this Tea Party thing, so I thought I would look into it and see what it's all about.

At first, I thought it was from Alice in Wonderland, you know, that movie that just came out? That Johnny Depp is so dreamy and I would really like to get involved in his movement.

But it turns out this is not the Tea Party that everyone's talking about.

So then I decided that it might be one of those things where you sit around and drink fake tea and pretend that you are a grown up with your girlfriends.

Nope. These are really boring and dull and for five year olds.

Oh, wait, the Boston Tea Party! Where the Americans dressed up as Indians and dumped the English tea in the harbor because they didn't want to pay the taxes. I like the idea of dressing up like an Indian!

Then someone told me that happened like 200 years ago, so I knew that it must be something else. But I think I am on the right track.

Aha! It's these people! The Tea Party is a bunch of people -- mostly older white men -- that don't like the president, hate paying taxes, are against almost everything, and have threatened some of the leaders of our country with violence.

They say they love America but it sounds more like they hate it here.

For a second, I got a little worried that these Tea Party people might actually pose a problem for America, but as it turns out, they are not particularly bright or good spellers.

So now I'm thinking what kind of dope would get involved with something like this?

Then I saw a picture of their leader and it all became clear.
