Star Trek Online’s executive producer Craig Zinkievich has put up some interesting hints regarding what’s on deck for Seasons Two and Three for Cryptic’s MMO.

In the latest State of the Game address, Zinkievich talks about the new Accolade System that will allow you to track your achievements, the Squad System which lets you team up with players that are not the same level as you, and the different balances, tweaks, and improvements to the UI that are in the works.

Pretty standard stuff that Star Trek players have known about for a while now.

However, that’s not all Zinkievich chats about.

In Season Two, there will be minigames, the ability to gain rank within the Federation Diplomatic Corps, faction free episodes, Klingon exclusive episodes, a level cap increase, ship interiors, weekly content, Fleet logos, and more – all before the end of July.

As far as Season Three is concerned, the major features are currently being worked on, and the devs are looking to the community to see what it wants most.

It’s also looking at adding user-generated content to the game.

Sounds like there’s loads of plans in the works. Good thing, too.
