During EA’s quarterly call to investors, where it reported its Q4 and FY2010 earnings, CEO John Riccitiello reiterated that the company’s aiming to take over the shooter category.
Speaking in a vein similar to games label president Frank Gibeau earlier in the month, Riccitiello said that EA will not be happy until it’s tops with FPS games again.
“We’re not going to be happy until we’ve taken the leadership back in the first person shooter category,” said Riccitiello.
“We’ve made strides with Bad Company, and expect further strides with Medal of Honor, with strong plans for years to come by taking back the market share”.

Riccitiello said that EA plans to do this with its Battlefield: Bad Company and Medal of Honor brands.
It was reported earlier that DICE’s BFBC2 sold over 2 million units its first month at retail, and approximately 5 million since launch, and currently it’s at work on the MOH’s multiplayer for EA LA.
Announced back in December, Medal of Honor is out during EA’s Q3 FY2011 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
That puts it releasing sometime between October and December this year.
