Sources close to G4 are saying that not only has an unannounced stealth-action James Bond title been put on hold over at Activision, but that it was being developer by Raven and the team working on it has been moved over to Call of Duty: Black Ops, to create map packs for it.
Currently in development over at Treyarch, Black Ops was announced last month, and so far not a whole lot is known about it other than it’s set for release in November.
But multiple sources familiar with the goings on, have informed G4 that the Madison, Wisconsin-based Raven Software has one team finishing up Singularity, while the other works on Black Ops.
Back in August last year, Raven was forced to lay-off 30-35 employees, rumored to be due to “over-budget and under-performing Wolfenstein and the delay of upcoming time-shifting shooter Singluarity.”
Singularity, though, is back on track and slated for release on June 29.
Cod: Black Ops, when released, will be made available on PC, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360.
Activision has yet to comment on any of this, yet.
