Update: If PlayFront’s to be believed, the install’s 3.8Gb. We’ll have to check this with Disney tomorrow.
Original: Just as we report how Rockstar has managed a teeny PS3 HDD requirement for Red Dead Redemption, along comes Split/Second and breaks the record at the other end of the scale.
The install space needed for the PS3 version of Disney’s racer is a whopping 7Gb, almost doubling MGS4’s last record at 4.7Gb.
There’s no word yet on how long it takes to install the game.
Split/Second is set to release this week on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
