Epic has announced that Title Update 6 goes live for Gears of War 2 today, which includes a social matchmaking update along with a price drop for the All Fronts Collection.
There’s also a Triple XP Weekend kicking off in the game as well.
The title update allows you to join or leave games without disrupting play, even in Horde mode matches, and also allows you and your party to join matches already in progress or start a new one.
In addition, the title update includes a host of general fixes, improvements, and balancing changes which are available to all players.
Social matching is open those who own all four map packs, and if for some reason you don’t already have them- you can get ’em through the All Fronts Collection for 800 MSP.
Other map packs have had the cost lowered as well, should you just need a particular one.
On top of all this, starting tomorrow, May 27, the Triple XP Weekend starts for Gears 2 multiplayer mode, and will run until Tuesday, June 1.
This should give you plenty of time to brush-up on your mad skills for the release of Gears 3 in spring 2011.
You can get the full rundown of what’s included in the update here.
