Microsoft has confirmed via an internal marketing Q&A that it will bundle Kinect with consoles starting this fall.
In the document, spotted by Kotaku, Microsoft said consumers would be able to buy Kinect as a standalone device and also as “part of a bundle with the newly designed Xbox 360 console,” although it also added that there were “no additional details about pricing or retail strategy to share at this time.”
The company also revealed that it will sell a $199 version of the console later this year, which we presume will be the Arcade Model.
There are no further details on that at the moment, though.
Kinect was formally revealed during a special event at E3. Microsoft has still to price the device, although rumours suggest a cost of around $149-$189.
Thanks, Monk.
