PlayStation Move has made its first public appearance in Japan, at the World Hobby Fair in Tokyo.

During the show, Sony had live demonstrations of the device and also invited attendees of the event on stage to try out the games, which included the likes of Eye Pet and Slider.

The games were also available for play in kiosks, allowing the Japanese public to get hands on time and make up their own minds regarding the device.

Sony also had other recently announced games on show, such as Patapon 3, which will no doubt be a big hit in Japan when it is released for PSP later this year.

The World Hobby Fair is held twice a year.

PlayStation Move is set to launch on September 15 in Europe and September 19 in US. The Japanese release is set for October.
