Yes, this dog is guarding a baby chicken. So what?
I didn't understand a word that lady was saying but that's the cutest damn thing I've ever seen.
You might not expect some animals to actually be friends... especially when one of the animals is normally lunch, but it happens all the time. Check out these other amazingly odd real life animal couples!
Dog & Orangutan
Roscoe and Suryia are best buds, but that doesn't let the fact they’re from different species stop them from doing everything together. The fact that Suryia could snap Roscoe's neck any moment doesn't bother Roscoe at all.
Hamster & Snake
At a zoo in Japan, Gohan the hamster was offered to Aochan the snake for dinner. Aochan decided she was more lonely than hungry and decided to keep Gohan as her roommate. But if he drinks from the damn milk carton one more time, he’s going straight to her hips!
Rottweiler & Wolf
A few weeks ago, Ulrok, a Rottweiler, was happy to become a father figure to Beldaran, a wolf cub. It’s been great for Ulrok, who now gets home late, reeks of gin, and sits on the couch drinking beer and watching Cinemax until he passes out. Y’know, father stuff.
Puppy & Squirrel
This is Zachary the puppy, snuggling with his new brother. His new brother happens to be a squirrel whose mom was killed in an accident. Yes, an accident that Zachary, who had always wanted a brother, knows nothing about.
Cat & Bunny
Ferris the cat, and Lily the baby bunny were found hiding together after a tornado. Poor, poor Lily—while she’s giving Ferris a kiss, all Ferris can think about is tasting his next meal. Scrumptious!
Frog & Mouse
This frog ferries other tiny animals around his flooded Indian town. This little mouse has somewhere to be, but like all the other mice, doesn’t know how to swim. That’s why the frog waits till the deepest part of the floodwaters to ask for payment.
Giraffe & Ostrich
Bea the giraffe and Wilma the ostrich are in a wildlife preserve together. Bea thinks long-necked Wilma is a giraffe, and pushes her around as if she is one. Wilma thinks Bea is kind of a bitch.
Hippo & Turtle
Owen, a baby hippo, was separated from his mother during a tsunami, and now believes this very old male tortoise is his mother. The tortoise is happy having Owen around so he finally has someone to tell his incredibly boring slow stories to.
Crocodile & Bird
Monkey & Pigeon
This tiny little macaque lost his mom. Luckily, he was taken in under this pigeon’s wing. Unluckily, pigeons are very stupid and don’t know that macaques can’t fly when pushed from a nest.
Tiger & Pigs
These cross-dressing piglets are just trying to fit in with their new mama. This tigress now thoroughly regrets joining the foster mother program and is mortified to go out in public.
