Artist Paul McCarthy lives and works in Los Angeles.
He creates multimedia installations that take shots at society and authority. His sexually-tinged and violent imagery often blows peoples minds. He sets his sights on cherished American myths and icons like Walt Disney, westerns, Santa and modern art, and blows them apart. He sometimes smears his displays with katsup, chocolate sauce and fake blood to make them even more horrifying and disturbing.
