Those planning to purchase Civilization V digitally may want to consider getting the strategy title through Direct2Drive, as it includes a copy of Civilization III.
It’s D2D’s Digital Deluxe version, which also includes the first Double Civilization and Scenario Pack for free, once it’s made available.
The deluxe box also includes a bonus Babylon Civilization with leader Nebuchadnezzar II, a Behind the Scenes at Firaxis with Civilization V video feature, and the game’s soundtrack.
It will run you $59.95, while the standard version is priced at $49.95.
This is pretty much the same version Steam is getting, only it includes the Cradle of Civilization Map Pack: Mesopotamia instead of Civ III for the same price.
Nice to know there’s options out there.
Civ V, deluxe and non-deluxe, hits the US on September 21 and the UK on September 24. A demo for the game is to be released the day it launches as well.
