Aeria Games has announced a closed beta for Dynasty Warriors Online will begin on October 12.
Those in Europe and the US who want to be among the first to try it out can sign up for a beta key through Gamespot.
From now until October 7, or until keys run out, Gamespot will offer its community beta keys for first access to the beta. Those who are given keys through the site will get a two-day head start before Aeria expands the testing to other applicants.
“If destroying armies and players alike with awesome weapons while rocking out to guitar riffs sounds fun, then Dynasty Warriors Online is your new favorite game,” said Brian DeSanti, the game’s associate producer. “Offering this exclusive beta key giveaway with GameSpot gives knowledgeable gamers a chance to get the first look at this great MMO.
“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone playing Dynasty Warriors Online, but as we move into Closed Beta Testing, only limited spots are available.”
Players who miss out on keys though Gamespot can sign up for a free account from Aeria, and then head on over to the Dynasty Warriors site and apply for a key. Those accepted will be able to start the beta come October 14.
Once launched, Dynasty Warriors Online will be free-to-play on PC. There’s still no word on whether the PS3 version of the MMO will leave Japan or not, but we’ll send another mail.
