Langdell gets IGDA membership revoked due to “lack of integrity or unethical behavior”

Karma’s a fun thing, isn’t it?

“The Board of Directors today voted to remove Tim Langdell from IGDA membership pursuant to our bylaws Article III. Section 6 (b) which states that any member may be removed from membership if the member has demonstrated a lack of integrity or unethical behavior, as determined by the Board of Directors,” read a post on the official International Game Developers Association blog.

This, of course, comes after Langdell’s dubious claim to all things “Edge” fought the law, and the law – happily enough – actually won.

Neither is this the beginning of Langdell’s falling out with the IGDA, which began in the strange, nearly forgotten Past Year of 2009, when Langdell resigned from the organization’s board of directors for “personal reasons.”

So we’d say that’s pretty much that, then. So long, Tim. Maybe next time don’t take up a hobby that makes an entire industry hate your guts? Just a thought.
