New comments from CD Projekt staff appear to show that additional story-based DLC is a certainty for The Witcher 2.

“Nothing really solid that I want to talk about right now but yes, it seems a really natural move to go to DLC,” senior producer Tomasz Gop told Games On Net.

“There’s definitely a lot of stories there to be told.”

Gop’s stance on the existence of DLC for the game has strengthened since talking to VG247 on the matter in March, where the developer would only say that downloadable content was under consideration.

“As for DLC nothing has been announced again, but we’re definitely thinking about this one,” he said at the time.

“[There’s] a lot of ideas, and new possibilities with the new tech. We’d like to make sure we do the game first though.”

The anticipated fantasy RPG is slated for PC in early 2011, with a console release still to be determined.
