Am sad.
According to a Kotaku report, Metal Gear Solid: Rising is now aiming for a 2012 release and not 2011.
An official release window has never been give for the game.
The hack-and-slash title, which features Raiden from MGS2, was announced at E3 in June 2009 at the Microsoft press conference.
PS3 and PC versions were subsequently announced.
The title went underground for a year before re-emerging at E3 this year, with a further appearance at TGS.
Long waits have occurred before in the MGS series: between reveal and release, MGS4 was three years. However, recently, Peace Walker was released within a year of its unveil.
Rising is a MGS2 sequel and MGS4 prequel involving Raiden, although not much else on its story has been revealed. Series regulars have been hinted at turning up for the game, though
Producer Shigenobu Matsuyama said last week that more story details will drop at its next reveal.
