Epic Mickey is out next week on Wii, and for those who plan on picking it up will see a section of the game Warren Spector is surprised made it into the final version at all.

Speaking during a conference call DigitalChumps was a part of, Spector said that while he doesn’t want to give anything away about this area of the game, it’s the place “he’s most proud of” and it’s the “edgiest of all probably”. Tease.

He said he was also “really, really proud of the end-game” as it “wraps up in a really cool and surprisingly emotional” way, and he was surprised how much emotion you can wring out of a videogame.

Spector also goes on to say folks don’t appreciate how much Walt Disney contributed to the 20th century in terms of entertainment, so he limited his source material to work Disney himself did between 1928—1967; however, he did make an exception to this unwritten rule in a couple of places – which he will let players figure out for themselves.

Epic Mickey, exclusively on Wii, hits November 26.
