Christmas – we’re (almost) calling it

Screw you guys.

As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve been pretty much going through the motions this week. Both Johnny and Steph are now on holiday until 2011, and “the internet” is posting news about passwords being stolen and the fact a game developer is developing a game. We’re pretty much done. We’re going to stop pretending we’re updating the site.

Or are we? We’re going to be posting a couple of big features between now and returning in the New Year. We can’t tell you when, or what they’re about, but you can probably work it out if you think for several seconds, or even less. No? Either way, you’re going to definitely want to see this stuff, so keep checking back.

Aside from that, we’re going to take a few weeks completely off. Anyone who knows me personally will know just how mental this year has been, and we all really do need to calm down. We’ll start updating properly again on January 3.

VG247 has seen superb growth in the past 12 months, and we’re going to be returning in the New Year stronger than ever. Again, we can’t thank our readers enough. We’re nothing without you. We’re everything with you. We’ll continue to build and continue to thrive. We will never relinquish our quest for the final word in games news. We can’t do it without you.

Have an amazing holiday. Play some games. Get pissed. Kiss your babies. Here’s to 2011.
