Thrustmaster is teasing its new GT5 wheel, named the T500RS, which it says will offer unrivaled accuracy by using what looks like the same technology in its HOTAS Warthog controller.

According to an ad for the wheel, magnetic technology will see it support 16-bit resolution with 65,536 valves on the steering, which certainly sounds impressive. [Despite the fact I have precisely no idea what it means – Ed.]

The bad news? The rumored cost of the T500RS  is a whopping $500 MSRP, without the optional H-pattern shifter. [Again… – Ed.]

No soild details on the wheel will be confirmed until CES in January.

Thanks, Engadget.
