Pokemon, like human beings, have a wide variety of beliefs and traditions, and all manner of holidays are celebrated by them. For instance, Geodude throws a hell of a Martin Luther King Day get together ( I don't recommend the hot wings though, as they are made completely out of stone), and if you haven't been to Hitmonchan's celebrity studded Chinese New Year's Party, you haven't lived.
As winter rolls around and the holidays start stacking up, all the Pokemon start gearing up to celebrate. Here below are a few of the most popular Pokemon and a list of the holidays that they enjoy.
1. Charizard - Hanukkah
Charizard's Orthodox Judaism has always made it so that he can't fight on Saturdays, and while working around his strict religious interpretation of how Ash should prepare his meat has been frustrating at times, Charizard's Hanukkah celeberations are as beautiful as they are humble.
2. Jigglypuff - Kwanzaa
Jigglypuff's great grandmother on his father's side is African American, and when Jigglypuff learnd about his heritage in college he embraced it fully.
3. Raichu - Christmas
Raichu is non-demonational, he just loves getting presents! And giving presents! He is still haunted, however, by the time his first girlfriend gave him a waterbed for Christmas and he woke up the morning after Christmas next to her electrocuted corpse.
4. Mewtwo - Mewtwo Day
Mewtwo loves only one thing: Mewtwo. So he invented a holiday to celebrate himself on the same day as Christmas. Mewtwo cannot stand when people do not celebrate Mewtwo day, and he will stop at nothing to find and destroy them. Do not celebrate this holiday at your own risk.
5. Pikachu - Festivus
Pikachu's hunger for human flesh is insatiable, but most of the year his master Ash forces him to roll around on the ground and generally be adorable. Once a year though, on Festivus, Ash unleashes Pikachu to do the one thing he waits ravenously for all year long: consume living human meat.
6. Sexy Pikachu - Sexy Firetruckin' Christmas
Sexy Pikachu likes Christmas, but she likes you even more. Whoops! What's that above you and Sexy Pikachu? Is that mistletoe? Uh oh! What ever are you and Sexy Pikachu going to do about it?
