Homefront’s senior level designer Rex Dickson has said the reason Kaos Studios and THQ are releasing DLC for the game on Xbox 360 first is due to the support Microsoft showed for the game.
Speaking with Eurogamer during THQ’s Gamer’s Week in New York, Dickson said the deal came about because Microsoft seemed more interested in getting involved with Homefront than Sony.
“It’s really just about them coming to us and saying they want to get involved,” he said. “You know, the PlayStation version is great, but Sony really didn’t come to us and say, ‘We want to support you and get behind you.’
“I think their focus right now is on Killzone. So that’s really how it all happened.”
THQ announced last week that all DLC for Homefront will arrive on Xbox 360 first and the console will also be getting an exclusive map called Suburbs.
Homefront hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 March 8 in the US and March 11 in the UK.
Gamespot has lots of new screens for the game posted here.
