Nintendo has confirmed that its eShop 3DS’s digital download store, as well as the system’s internet browser will be ready to go at launch.
According to a Nintendo spokesperson, neither the eShop or the web browser will be included with the system’s “initial firmware”, but both will be integrated via a day-one firmware update.
The eShop sounds like a rather exciting place, and you’ll be able to purchase not only DSiWare goodies and Game Boy titles but 3DS-exclusive digital titles as well.
3DS is out March 25 in Europe and March 27 in the US.
Thanks, Eurogamer.
