Famitsu has official word on Sonic creator Yuji Naka and Kadokawa Games’ new joint 3DS and Wii title, Tenkuu no Kishi Rodea.

It’s a sky fantasy being written by Tales and Arc Rise Fantasia’s Takumi Miyajima, and in it, players fly through the sky shooting enemies through various game stages. There will be segments located on the ground as well.

The main character’s name is Rodea, who will interact with co-starring characters Ion and Princess Cecilia.

Naka describes the game as “a completely new action game with simple controls,” with the Wii version using the Wiimote exclusively.

Details regarding the rest of the gameplay for Wii were scarce, same with information on the 3DS version.

Famitsu will get another look at the game later in the week, so more details are expected. Until then, there’s more information through here.

Thanks, Andriasang.
