True Crime: Hong Kong is a reboot of the series which sees players step into the role of a single-minded cop on a quest to disband an entire criminal organisation. What makes this iteration so delightful is its Asian setting, taking martial arts action films as inspiration for the Triad-centred plot.
Fans of spaghetti easterns are creaming themselves over the voice cast, which includes Tom Wilkinson, James Hong, James Liao, Byron Mann, Dustin Nguyen, George Cheung and Sammo Hung, among others.
Previous games featured “GPS accurate” renditions of LA and New York, but Hong Kong will feature in a “stylised” fashion, which as anyone who has ever tried to drive in that fair city will tell you is probably a good thing.
