UKIE figures have claimed that UK developers have contributed greatly to the sale of motion controller-based games in the last year.
Apparently, 42 percent of sales of Kinect titles came from UK developers like Rare and Frontier, while 30 percent of Move game sales were based on games made by British studios.
It was also observed by UKIE that LittleBigPlanet 2, currently the UK number one, was made in Guildford at Media Molecule. It features Move-specific PSN pack Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves.
“The array of strong products that our home-grown, UK talent is producing is something we can all be proud of,” said UKIE GD, Michael Rawlinson.
“This just shows how our UK developer base remains one of the best in the world, and can continue to step up to the plate as the market develops and platforms evolve.”
Thanks, GI.
