It's official!
Sweetheart of the Los Angeles judicial system Lindsay Lohan was formally charged with "unlawfully taking money and personal property" for swiping a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store. She was later photographed wearing the "hot" necklace around town.
But this isn't the first time Lindsay's been accused of yoinking someone else's stuff. Yep, she's been called out on stealing before! Here's a look back at the many expensive items that have gone missing while in the presence of Miss Lindsay Lohan.
2008
Model Lauren Hastings accuses Lindsay Lohan of stealing $10,000 worth of clothing from her closet. She claims to have at least 5 witnesses.
“They all said they saw Lindsay Lohan basically in my closet, handing a bag of clothes to her bodyguard.” When contacted, Lindsay allegedly told the model that she was “completely delusional”.
Later that year former model and philosophy graduate Masha Markova claimed that Lohan stole a $12,000 golden sheared mink coat at a Chelsea nightclub.
The coat was a gift from her grandmother. After many headlines and legal actions the coat suddenly appeared back at the club from an unknown source with no response or apology from Lohan.
2009
Lindsay Lohan walks into the Paris showroom of New York/Montreal-based accessories label Arielle de Pinto. She asks to "borrow" several one-of-a-kind samples for an unspecified party and photo shoot. The Arielle de Pinto sales team made an imprint of her credit card... "just in case." As you might suspect Lindsay left Paris with the jewels and when they tried to charge the credit card, they found out it had been canceled.
Later that year $400,000 worth of Dior jewelry goes missing after an ELLE Magazine photo shoot with actress Lindsay Lohan.
2010
Lindsay Lohan is accused of stealing a $35,000 Rolex from a "friend". Photos surface of the actress wearing a very similar watch. Police questioned her and she denied any involvement in the theft.
2011
Lindsay Lohan faces 3 years in jail when she's finally and for the first time officially charged with theft. She is charged with stealing a fancy designer gold necklace from Venice, Ca. jewelry store Kamofie & Company (pictured above). Bail set at $20,000.00 and the judge givers her a verbal smacking. Case pending.
So do you think she's actually a thief, or are people just targeting her for her fame? Should she go to prison?
