Square Enix is holding a mega sale across its whole catalogue on both Steam and Direct2Drive, meaning you can score positive delights like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Just Cause 2, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Deus Ex, Thief: Deadly Shadows, Hitman: Codename 47 and literally dozens more at half price – or better. Astounding.
Direct2Drive’s sale is the most straightforward, offering 50 percent off its entire Square Enix selection, so you can cherry pick the best of the bunch.
Steam is being a little coy, offering an enormous bundle of 48 titles (including DLC releases) for $74.99 – that’s 88 percent off everything.
While you furiously try to work that into your budget, Square Enix will run daily Steam sales on one title from the bundle every day this week, beginning with Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition for the scandalously low price of $7.50.
If you’re one of those who reads “Square Enix” and hears “JRPGs”, click through anyway and boggle at that list. Even after you pick through the detritus of the Eidos acquisition , it’s a sizeable one.
Thanks, BigDownload.
