Chime Super Deluxe hitting PSN at the end of March

By Stephany Nunneley

Zoe Mode has announced Chime Super Deluxe will be released via PSN on March 29 in the US and March 30 in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The game has you place irregular-shaped blocks one at a time on a grid and fit them together 3 X 3 or more to build a quad. The challenge is “to fill the grid before the time runs out. This core rule set alongside multipliers, time bonuses, block fragment crashes and more create an addictive and mesmerizing strategic experience.”

Each block you place plays a note, and a different note depending on where it is placed with every quad created playing a longer musical phrase depending shape and size.

The composition is remixed as you play, and when you hit 100 percent grid coverage, clearing and resetting the grid, you are rewarded with a new grid to play.

The game includes four-player, offline multiplayer modes as well as a co-op and Versus mode.

Music artists who worked on the game include: Zoe Mode, 8-Bit and Chip Tune’s Sabrepulse, electronica duo Plaid, and World Loopstation Champion Shlomo.
