Ferrell Replaces Carell On The Office!

The Office is about to get “classy” America!

NBC released a promo for the Office this week that reveals Will Ferrell as Steve Carell's replacement in the show. It's a great choice, I mean who else could fill the shoes of the world's worst boss?

Ferrell is set to guest star in a four-episode arc as a branch manager who arrives from the corporate home office, entering the office fray and "causing trouble." The word on the street is that Ferrell's character is as politically incorrect and inappropriate as Michael Scott, if not more.

Will and Steve are old friends and have worked together many times over the years. Carell even auditioned for SNL at the same time as Ferrell, and Carell jokingly claims he lost the part to Ferrell.

Michael Scott has pretty much laid the groundwork for his own exit, he proposed to his girlfriend/co-worker Holly and announced that they were moving to Colorado!

Producers have been scratching their heads over who could possible replace the uber-popular Steve Carell in the show. I mean, Michael Scott is a true classic but if you were going to replace him with somebody, Ferrell is the guy to go to.

"We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star and we turned him into a television star,” executive producer Paul Lieberstein (who plays Toby in the show) said in a statement. “We are proud to continue ‘The Office’s’ tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they’ll see what we see: tremendous raw sexuality.”

Carell will leave the show 4 episodes before the season even ends. What a jerk.

Carell's last episode will air on April 28th. Boo!

What do you think about Ferrell replacing Carell on the Office? Was it a good choice? Who else could have filled those shoes?
