In an effort to prove just how secure Steam Guard is, Valve head Gabe Newell revealed his Steam ID and password to the crowd during the firm’s presentation at GDC.

The new Steam Guard feature, currently in beta, “gives users greatly increased account security,” and links management of user accounts to a specific PC.
Should someone attempt to modify or change a user’s account settings on another PC, it will not be possible without user approval with customers being notified should another PC than the one registered attempt to log into the account.
