The EU PS Blog has posted a preview of what players will come across when they play the Mortal Kombat demo in the next couple of weeks.
The demo contains fighters Johnny Cage, Mileena, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero which are playable on two stages: The Living Forest and The Pit. One-on-one and the Ladder mode will be playable as well, and if you complete the later in the demo, a video montage of the final game is shown.
Those with 3D televisions will also be able to try the demo out in the new tech, and with the game’s fighters rendered in 2D for the 3D mode, Mortal Kombat’s action remains visible even without glasses.
“We didn’t want 3D to change the basic mechanics or complicate things needlessly”, said creative director and co-creator Ed Boon. “Our 3D implementation makes the characters pop from the background a little more, helps you focus on them”.
PlayStation Plus members get the demo on March 8, while standard PSN members get it on March 15. It will arrive on Xbox Live another at a later date.
Mortal Kombat releases on April 21 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
