Some iPhone 4 users are reporting that their Apple smartphones appear to be taking pictures of them without their knowledge, then displaying these mysteriously snapped photos during FaceTime calls...
Let me say this again... the phone is snapping photos on it's own, storing them, and then sending them to people you are FaceTime chatting with. It's such a problem that people are discussing it on Apple Forums.
What tha? Are you in a dressing room?
No, I'm at home why?
"It's kind of creepy," says one user who claims that when she FaceTime chats her boyfriend, weird photos she's never taken of herself sitting in the office suddenly pop up on her boyfriend's screen.
I guess the good news is that she has a job and isn't leading some kind of secret double life.
Another person claims that while chatting with a friend pics of them at a fast food restaurant popped up on the screen.... a restaurant they had been at about 30 minutes earlier but had definitely not taken any pictures at...
So if you have an iPhone 4 and you happen to use FaceTime... BEWARE! Your phone could randomly snap photos of you... in the bathroom, at the doctors office... in your most private of moments... and then send them to your friends!
How was the Pap?
It was fine... wait, how did you know??????????????
Can you friggin' imagine! Your deepest darkest secrets revealed because of some glitch in the Matrix.
What is the world coming to when you can't trust your own iPhone?
Apple can't seem to figure out how or why the phone is doing this. They suggest that you restore the factory settings on the phone, but that doesn't seem to do anything most of the time and then they suggest you just return the phone for another one.
You know what I think?
I think the machines are taking over!
Do you have an iPhone 4? Do you use FaceTime? Has this ever happened to you? How pissed would you be if this started happening? Do you think the machines are taking over? Let's express our horror in the comments below.
