Hey guys! It's Friday! Friday! Gotta get down on Friday!
And pretty soon the cast of Glee will be getting down on Friday, because the students of McKinley High's Glee Club will reportedly cover Rebecca Black's YouTube sensation 'Friday.'
In the video Rebecca and her friends go out for a fun Friday night but it won't be the gals of Glee covering the song... it'll be the dudes
Instead, Artie (Kevin McHale), Sam (Chord Overstreet), and Puck (Mark Salling) will take on the tune about fun, fun, fun, fun.
The song "Friday" was part of a $2,000.00 package deal that Rebecca's mom paid to Ark Music Factory in Los Angeles. Ark is a production company for aspiring teen singing idols. If you go to YouTube you can find videos from other Ark clients like Alana Lee Hamilton, Abby Victor and other young girls who have no stage presence and can't really sing, but are willing to part with $2,000 for a chance at stardom, a YouTube video...
And fame!
Glee usually just does covers of popular songs by famous singers... like when Gwyneth did Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You', which I rather enjoyed, but that's because that song is so good that it doesn't matter who is defiling it... Not even the cast of Glee could ruin Cee Lo's hit.
So if you're a Gleek and you're wondering when this television magic is going to happen... or if you're a hater who enjoys watching trainwrecks on TV... you'll get to hear the guys of Glee cover "Friday" during the show’s prom episode.
It looks like we are never going to escape the horrors of Rebecca Black's "Friday" or the cast of Glee singing another song. For now both show and song remain popular with people who have no taste and there sure are a lot of those people.
What do you think about Glee? Are you a fan? Are you excited to hear their cover of "Friday"? Is this a sign of the impending apocalypse? Are the end times near? Let's discuss below.
