BioWare wasn’t always famous only for Baldurs Gate or Mass Effect: it had also developed the sequel to one of the greatest third-person shooters in gaming history – MDK.
The sequel will make its appearance on WiiWare today, becoming the first TPS title from the developers to do so.
MDK saw you embark on a mission as Kurt Hectic – janitor of inventor Dr. Fluke Hawkins – to save planet Earth from from an alien invasion.
Bioware made the sequel for publisher Interplay back in 2000. Staying true to the formula, which made the first game a cult classic, they also added playable bits for Dr.Hawkins and his six armed robotic dog, Max.
MDK 2 was released for PC and Dreamcast in 2000, and a port for Playstation 2 was made in 2001.
You can experience it on the Wii for 1,000 WiiWare points now.
