You didn't think we had heard the last of Rebecca Black did you?
“I don’t want to be known as the `Friday’ girl,” Rebecca told the press.
“Hopefully, I can be known as Rebecca Black and not the ‘Friday’ girl. I want to be a performing artist. That’s what I’ve always wanted to do.”
So in an effort to stay relevant the teen "Performing Artist" is recording a new 5-track mini-album...
Rebecca has been writing songs in a studio owned by producer Charlton Pettus who has worked with other "Performing Artists" like Hilary Duff, Clay Aiken and Tears For Fear (not when they were popular but waaaay waaaay after). #WINNING!
Always humble and down to earth Rebecca Black has proclaimed, “I’m definitely not some normal 13-year-old girl that barely anyone knows around school anymore."
"I was bullied all the time in school. I don’t know what was so different about me that made people want to pick on me. I thank those people because if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be here right now. I would probably still be sitting at home crying. I’ve dealt with that my whole life. I’ve learned to have a thick skin. I laugh at them now.” What could be sadder than a young, unpopular, unfamous, pre-Friday Rebecca Black sitting home alone crying? (And by "sadder", I mean "funnier.")
Rebecca is all about talent, “I want to see everyone’s opinion of my actual voice. I don’t care if they love it. I don’t care if they hate it. Well, I’d like it if they loved it, but I just want to hear their opinion.” The savvy performing artist already knows at 13-years-old that even bad press is good press.
What do you think Rebecca's new song will be about? Do you predict another viral hit, or a viral bomb?
