Irrational’s Ken Levine explains the use of skylines in BioShock Infinite

By Stephany Nunneley

Irrational has posted a video featuring Ken Levine explaining the use of skylines in BioShock Infinite.

According to Levine, the inhabitants of Colombia originally created the skylines as a mode of transportation to get goods from one place to another in a vertical city in the clouds.

Along the way, kids figured out how to use the skylines to do tricks and as the city itself deteriorated, the skylines were used more and more in combat situations.

So, by the time the game’s protagonist Booker gets to Colombia, the skylines are being used for everything imaginable, and players are going to have to find a way to move about these hazard-filled ziplines in the sky.

Infinite is out in 2012 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
