Media Create has released the unit sales chart for Japanese hardware and software for the week ending June 12, and it finds PSP still the clear winner and Yakuza: of the End debuting in first place on the software chart.
Yazuka vs Zombies
SEGA’s Yakuza: of the End hit the top of the Japanese retail charts at number one, moving 298,717 units in three days, while last week’s top earner, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, fell to second place with 15,551 units moved which is a drop of 74 percent.
Four titles in total debuted on the top 20 for the week, with Gekiatsu!! Pachi Game Tamashi Portable Vol, 1 and Vol. 2 hitting the sixth and 20th spot, respectively.
Red Faction: Armageddon was one of those debuts as well, hitting PS3 with 5,436 units moved. The Xbox 360 equivalent debuted at number 30.

PSP still tops despite decrease in sales over last week
PSP was once again the top seller for the week, moving 26,681 units which is a bit of drop from last week’s 30,155 units.
3DS came in second for the week, with 24,649 units moved, which is only 2,032 units less than PSP.
PS3, Wii and PS2 were the only consoles to show growth over the week, while the rest of hardware was down anywhere from a few thousand units to a few hundred units over the week prior.
Handhelds DSi, DSL, and PSPgo were also up over last week, with the later moving an extra 7 units over the prior week.
