Nintendo of America servers hacked

Nintendo of American has announced its servers suffered an attack by hackers, but that no personal information was compromised.

“The server contained no consumer information. The protection of our customer information is our utmost priority,” a spokesperson told Reuters in a statement.

“We constantly monitor our security”.

Lulzsec seems to have claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it had obtained one config file, but commented that it “didn’t mean any harm” and that “Nintendo had already fixed it anyway”.

“<3 them!” it added.

The group recently declared war against Sony, and has been involved in several high-profile attacks including the Tupac-is-alive PBS hack.
