5 Real Teens Who Achieved The Impossible

Gordy

Ash Ketchum famously wanted to “be the very best” and become the top Pokemon trainer in the world. It may be impossible (and possibly illegal) to capture cute animals and make them fight in the real world, but the lesson still stands. You can become “the very best,” even when you are young. Here are some teenagers who have already accomplished more than most people will in a lifetime!

Jordan Romero

Reaching the summit of the world’s highest mountain is a challenge for climbers of any age, but California teen Jordan Romero did it at age 13. At 13 I was still ten years away from learning how to talk to girls, and this guy is climbing the biggest mountains in the world. Not only that, but he plans on conquering the highest peak on every single continent.

Flash

No, it’s not the superhero, “The Flash” but the nerd superhero, Lee Young Ho. “Flash” is a professional StarCraft player in South Korea who at 15 became the world’s youngest Starleague champion. Two years later he won the grand champion title at the 2010 World Cyber Games. And you thought YOU were good at video games.

Alia Sabur

At 14, an age where most of us are struggling to memorize the quadratic equation, Alia Sabur was graduating from college. When she was 18, she was appointed professor of mathematics at Konkuk University in South Korea. Oh, and she’s been a black belt in Tae Kwon Do since she was 10, so she can probably beat you up too. She’s totally getting recruited to be on my super-spy team.

Tom Daley

I don’t think I’m in shape enough to even WATCH the Olympics, but at age 13 Tom Daley qualified for the British Olympic team, and competed in Bejing in 2008. Although he didn’t win any Olympic medals yet, he’s a favorite to bring home the gold in the 2012 London Olympics.

Catherine and Dave Cook

In 2005, high schoolers and siblings, Catherine and Dave Cook, came up with an idea to create a free interactive yearbook. Today, myYearbook.com has 4.7 million Monthly Unique visitors and generates 20 million dollars in revenue a year. That’s a lot of money for a free idea.

None of these teens have stopped working, hard every day, even after accomplishing so much. Even the best professional soccer players in the world have it tough, as you can see in the new Teen.com web series My Day, My Life.
